@LukeAlmighty okay I just watched the video. Holy fuck, there people are really, unironically, complaining about how having a shipping container house isn't comfy enough for you if you're some california hipster with money to spend, what a load of shit.

argument was such a fucking reach. The only good argument I could see was that you're still gonna have to pay a fuckton of money for getting utilities, permits and foundations set up and moving your house around is gonna be a pain in the ass no matter what so you might as well just save up some more cash and eiither build a real house or buy a camper van, but that's about it.

Really, if anything this video was made for retarded hipsters who look at these structurally deranged, ugly pods and think to themselves "Wow, that looks so quirky and unique and sustainable I need to live like that" and spend 100K on making a monstrosity that caves in under it's own weight within a year. On an unrelated note, you could totally fit a big engine, old howitzer and a pair of treads onto one of these containers and ride it around, why hasn't anyone done THAT instead of this hippie shit?
