I'm 180 cm tall and I was dating a 165 cm tall girl who openly stated that despite dating shorter guys in her past, guys who were even shorter than her, she really liked the fact that "she feels protected because I'm a head taller." What the hell is that all about - my best guess is that it's evolutional.

There was this other girl I was orbiting for a while, she's like 175 tall, and (despite I was not dating her!) she couldn't shut up about how difficult it is for her to find a suitably tall guy and how nice it is that when we're walking together she doesn't feel like she's "walking her little brother or something!" Damn, the average guy in my country is exactly her height, and she felt it was below her level to date a guy of similar height!

Don't even get me started on dating apps when her first fucking question is "what's your height?" As if it's a wasted effort to date a guy who would be a perfect match for them, but if he's not taller than their ridiculous standard, he can go kick rocks? The whole fucking thing makes my stomach turn.
