Had a user hook up a desktop tower to use in the office, he normally is a laptop user but wanted the power of a desktop. Told him where is was and asked if he want me to hook it up. About 15 minutes later he comes to me and says "I think the power supply fried out, I heard some popping and crackling", so I went to look at it. Took a picture of the socket to zoom to see if it was fried. Ended up being a fucking stick bug in the socket. Computer has been "de-bugged" and is back in action 🙄

@LukeAlmighty
I have mostly worked on the recruiting side of the company, so I can't really tell you much about the more operative side of hr, but there are many that hate hr for the wrong reasons.
We always get blamed for firing people, when in most cases the order comes from finance... We are just the executioner in many cases, not the judge, and we get hate for that

In recruiting you are usually well received by the candidates, if they like you you can work wonderfully with them, but the clients are the ones that are a nightmare to work with. They claim they need someone ASAP and then they don't fucking answer a call or mail for weeks... Guess who still takes the blame if the candidate decides that they do not want to wait and just gets something else? Yes, you are right, we do...

Working in a company that has a good hr strategy and people that are not in hr just to make a good salary can be quite fulfilling, I worked once as a trainee Ina. Bigger manufacturer and you could do so much good for the people. Many did screw around though...

He is always a difficult subject, because if you are too good people will take advantage of you and if you are too Stern you will get hate... Finding a golden equilibrium is very hard actually, like most things in life though.
Apparently there are people now that post their preferred pronouns after their names on LinkedIn... I'm so done with this clown world
@lain How do you do fellow gamers? I am an epic gamer such as yourself.

You know a teacher is a self-important idiot, when he broadcast's his lecture life at 7:30, takes attendance and says you're forbidden from recording it...

At 7:30 noone can really focus. If you wake up that early, you'r entire day is worse and if you cannot record it, you will not be able to analyze and learn what he said while you were in coma.

It's really good to see in here, that we have teachers who do everything to make themselves feel important, and then we have teachers, who uploaded to youtube what they recorded from last year and were done with it...
