@matrix The fuck happened? Methead clickbait Weird Al lookin' motherfucker
@LukeAlmighty Tasting History sometimes goes like "yeah this isn't really good" but that kind of goes with the territory. I think he did some sort of fish pudding once...
@beardalaxy Oh no ;-; I see that all the time at Goodwill, nearly every disc is just gone. This local place is run by a goofy old Vietnam vet and it's so cramped and dusty nobody would steal anything... Honestly, I'm surprised an independent hole-in-the-wall like it can stay in business today.
@beardalaxy Summoning and Dungeoneering and some major quests and minigames. It's like a four year difference. I think OSRS just wasn't the right time for the snapshot, being 2007... but they have added on a lot so it's like it's own thing now. One day maybe I'll start up OSRS again and get things to my RS3 levels...
I like buying or burning a CD and just going to a lonely place just because I won't be overloaded by infinite digital selection. Local junk store near me has a ton of used stuff so I will just buy a random CD of a name I recognize and try it out. Now I really like Prince.
@beardalaxy I think aesthetics were a big part of RS being magical, with the simple graphical style of RS2 the limits ironically helped your imagination fill the world with your own brand of fantasy... It really did feel like you could put yourself in the world and feel like an individual. If there was something that just freeze-framed 2011-ish right before they added microtransactions it would be great.
Hearing this for the first time after begging my parents to pay for a month of membership felt like I went through some sort of character arc, lmao: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IpU5owQdVj8
@beardalaxy B E S P O K E
@beardalaxy Oh yeah just mocking negative Steam reviews, some real gems there
@beardalaxy Sick video, basically compacted 90% of what they teach in four years of college about Japanese government, religious, and societal history, into 90 minutes. Glad this guy did real research because other types of videos like this literally just read off of a Wikipedia page.
Japan is in a constant challenge the powers that be, whether it's the physical government or an idea of a higher power. And yeah, I think these struggles happen in every society in the world as well, but it really is interesting that with Japan and other East Asian nations, it goes back to the beginning of their recorded history.
Surface-level tech liker and poser weeb. Certified by the Tennou Heika himself to deny Japanese war crimes. Also one day I want to be an artist of some sort, but I'm not sure how to go about it.
