Why is it the norm for websites to save settings in cookies? Every time I clear my cookies I have to reset the 20 settings I change. Dumb. Saving a 4KB file for my settings on a corporate server can't be that big of a deal.

@LukeAlmighty I was playing The First Descendant and the environments are so boring I was left wondering how much of the game was just automatically generated by UE. It really is a lot less impressive when you can just make a lush field filled with trees and shrubs at the push of a button, with almost no input from an artist, even though that might not even be the case there.

@beardalaxy tbh I think most of the lower tiers are pretty good, I don't know why some furries push the stupidest girls

Remember gamers, text chat in multiplayer vidya was literally invented for the purpose of yelling "SCREW YOU FAGGOT" to other players

I found an old Yamaha "toy" synthesizer keyboard at Goodwill for $10, and it works perfectly!!! It sounds like a Sega Genesis... too bad I do not know how to play instruments at all ;_;

@beardalaxy I could totally do the solitary confinement, I'm built different

(but yeah no that seemed fucking horrible that that guy went through that)

(but also I'm just built different)

@xianc78 They were actually pretty fun games ;_;

But I think it's better that the series isn't sullied with the garbage-ness of this year's Olympics.

Daily dose of eye bleach

@beardalaxy @LukeAlmighty Yeah like why would you allow yourself to get grabbed like that anyway? And, I've weaseled my way out of getting pinned by overweight wrestlers in BJJ club, who actually know what they're doing... I guess I'm being a bit pedantic but there just seems like no effort there, mwahaha

@beardalaxy I always thought Gen 2 was the best until I played it again recently, it's good but you can really tell that Kanto was just an afterthought. Gen 3 was where the aesthetics really found solid footing. I mean maybe on paper Gen 4 and 5 are better, but Gen 3 really was so much more of a jump than the following games. And gameplay wise every part of the game felt so deliberately thought out and there wasn't tons and tons of random junk there to just be a gimmick like the games are now... The only thing I ever wanted for Gen 3 was a day-night system like GSC, but it is fine without it.

Also I think the battery in the GBA games is just for the real-time clock, it can probably still hold a save... And it's always fun to start a new game and experience it again. :)

Hey regardless how you think about the virus right now don't you find it funny that for about a month in 2020 all the rightoids were going "we gotta prepare for this virus and stop Chinese tourists from coming in" and the leftoids were going "no it's just a little flu why would you lock down" and then it reversed super hard. I don't feel like many people remember that and it feels really pertinent lately.

Woo 9 seconds E1M1. Now I wish I used a sourceport with decimal places.

@xianc78 Honestly that looks like a great crust for a margarita pizza!

@beardalaxy I've seen reports about two major companies scaling things back, Microsoft and John Deere. But they still go "we're committed to diversity blah blah." I am guessing things are baked in to the recruiting process + company culture now, so they can just cut the chaff and get rid of the people they hired to create and start the initiatives.
