@jeffcliff @PinochetsCommieCopter "covid"
@PinochetsCommieCopter all of this over russia not wanting ukraine to join nato
@RedpillBot is i don't think alaska's homicide rate is because of diversity. greenland and northern canada have even higher homicide rates. i think it probably has more to do with it being butt fucking cold and the sun not working like it does everywhere else so people get a bit messed up.
@LoliHat i agree, i wish they would pop on over to baraag, but idk how japan works with viewing uncensored stuff online so idk if that's a problem for them.
pawoo is back up. from what i can surmise, someone reported them to their domain registrar for "abuse" that they didn't take care of in a timely manner so said registrar locked down their domain. i guess russel talked to them and was able to get it back up and running with the promise that they would be more diligent in the future.
hopefully this means their moderation gets better. i'd really prefer if gameliberty users (and just the fediverse in general) didn't have to put up with some of the shit that gets posted there.
@LoliHat @Mackiavelli13 @lamp @Hoss @Immahnoob i think people seem to like me. i know i can be a bit annoying at times when i talk people's ears off but i can't help it xD i like being around good people and socializing. other than that i think i'm relatively easy to get along with, i've got IRL friends from a lot of different walks of life and as long as we all have respect for each other it works out.
it's a lot easier to hate someone on the internet though because they have one opinion you don't like lol, so i'm sure there are plenty of people that don't like me for one reason or another but i don't really care, it's not worth worrying over.
@SwattySquad @Mackiavelli13 @lamp @sunshinetadpole @Hoss it is a requirement to be at least somewhat fucked up if you're on fedi, that we all have in common.
@Immahnoob @Mackiavelli13 @lamp @Hoss @LoliHat basically, don't be a jackass and just be a good person, is kind of how i interpret it. if you know how to be a good person, then you know when it is appropriate to be a bit of a jackass. if you were a jackass for a long time, you know how to avoid doing things that a jackass would and be a good person instead. that's the best way i can describe it with 3am brain lol.
@LoliHat @Mackiavelli13 @lamp @Hoss @Immahnoob i think i've been doing a pretty good job so far. just sticking as true to myself as i can instead of trying to be someone i'm not has helped me so much. i ain't perfect but nobody is, and i can relish in that a bit :) the people that actually matter to me respect that, and i think the more aware you are of yourself, the easier it is to be the best version of yourself.
@LoliHat @Mackiavelli13 @lamp @Hoss @Immahnoob yeah, they're supposed to be. i just was in no condition to be there. for me it turned out to be the opposite: only when one experiences being a fool can they truly know how to play life straight.
i learned the hard way, which hopefully means i can extend that toward my children. my parents, i know they cared about me, but they just had no idea what they were doing and their definition of "caring" didn't line up to what i actually needed to succeed. especially my father (my mother was just depressed for my entire childhood and was pretty passive about everything) wanted me to be his version of successful, and i was pushed that way despite not wanting it and it really fucked me up. my actions are my own, of course, but seeing that and realizing it, i hope i can not just provide for my children physically like my parents did, but emotionally too. my brother and sister have similar thoughts on that and went through some of the same stuff that i did.
@Mackiavelli13 @sunshinetadpole @lamp @SwattySquad @Hoss i went to church for 19 years of my life and it sucked ass, and a lot of that culture is what made me fucked up to begin with. i'd rather have a personal relationship with God than share it with a room full of people who will judge me because i'm not just like them.
@lamp @Hoss @sunshinetadpole @Mackiavelli13 the amount of people who are actually transgender (have gender dysphoria) vs the amount of people who are being led to believe they are transgender is miniscule. the fact that i can watch a smash bros tournament and see like 10 trannies in a room of maybe 50 people is not right. it propagates like a plague in circles where people don't typically feel socially accepted and they think that becoming trans will gain them social acceptance. if their happiness was hinging on that to begin with, maybe they will be happy for some time, but it's for the wrong reasons. they aren't actually happy with themselves, they're happy that people like them now. once those people are gone.... what do they have to be happy about anymore?
i think it's a huge problem with autistic people. the amount of trannies who are also autistic is massive. they get taken advantage of because their social awareness is lower than a normal person.
@Mackiavelli13 @LoliHat @lamp @Immahnoob @Hoss my time to be an absolute retard was back in middle and high school. seriously, i fucking hate who i was back then. honestly, if anything, "watching drawings" has helped me far more than it ever hurt me. i log on to fedi and see anime asses all over the timeline and instead of having my hypersexuality (i have mini bipolar basically) affect me in my daily life it has toned down a lot because of that. sex isn't always on my mind to the point of doing stupid shit like it used to be. i feel really comfortable with myself and really healthy as opposed to back then when i was forced to hide and suppress it all and it would get me into trouble often.
