@Coyote my mixer uses usb-b actually, i think a decent amount of midi interfaces do too

@Eschatology @breaking911@news.twtr.plus was this the shooting that took down the drag show or whatever?

@ChikaFujiwara good way to fix a nosebleed is to put ice on your nose or eat ice cream/a popsicle.

@p @MK2boogaloo @mint @beardalaxy@sb.greenboys.club i don't think it is necessarily a soapbox problem, because it is happening on the mastodon front end for pleroma too (granted, i've heard that one is kind of old). it is also happening on husky.

i set up the instance with fediverse.express and just got set up with a soapbox fe so i'm not sure how to access the pleroma one tbh.

my other user can apparently see all of it too, so it's just getting messed up on my end for some reason. i tested it with two of my accounts, still not working correctly.

every now and then when i load the local TL it will show a random post from months ago. then as soon as i refresh it's gone.

so my personal instance is not displaying anything on the local timeline, even though all of the posts still exist (i can see them on my account @beardalaxy@sb.greenboys.club ).

anyone run into this issue before?

@berkberkman it's a crt tv, not a monitor. sony wega, really good picture still all things considered.

Did you ever hear the tragedy of Darth Plagueis the gay?

@matana @Terry yeah that's never made sense to me. "i oppose this thing so i'm going to buy it and give financial support to the people who are doing it."

had the misfortune of being exposed to the new adams family show at my in law’s over the weekend. what utter fucking dogshit, besides the hilariously piss poor mary sue bullshit you also had unironic “patriarchy”, “indigenous peoples”, “marginalized populations” said up multiple times per episode.

I am utterly incapable of consuming any normie media produced after 2008 without being angry at the writing. :blobcattears:

got an hdmi to composite converter for my CRT. before you ask, it doesn't support progressive scan even though it has component inputs so i didn't wanna' risk getting something that just wouldn't work.

it's not too bad, but it only supports widescreen resolutions for some reason then squishes it down to 4:3, so i first have to stretch 4:3 to widescreen and have it squish it back down to 4:3 lol.

the crt does have a widescreen mode, but obviously you lose a lot of the top and bottom of the screen.

but as far as color and input lag goes it's perfect as far as i can tell. played some f-zero on it and it worked really well. only other issue i have is overscan and screen position, which i unfortunately can't TRULY fix because i don't have the remote for the CRT. i can dial in settings in the NVIDIA control panel to change the display area but it still isn't perfect and i'm still losing a little bit of screen space elsewhere that way.
