@hideki i'm still so salty that logic pro is only on mac. that DAW is so nice. mixcraft is like the baby version of it but it's as close as i can get on windows.

@orekix @hideki yeah it got bought a while ago and they new company added in telemetry and said they would work with the alphabet boys to give them info about who is using the program. Something along those lines.

A bunch of forks that removed that cropped up but none have been updated in a while BECAUSE...

Audacity changed course and made the telemetry opt-in (under the guise of "providing statistics to improve the software" of course).

So now that you can just not have to worry about that stuff, people can still use audacity and be fine. If you're really paranoid, block it in your firewall.

@Corfiot yeah that itself isn't a seizure, but me being in that state led to having seizures when I was getting ready for school in the morning because my brain has faulty wiring lol. It's a sign to me that if I immediately hop in the shower while I'm like that I'll be MUCH more at risk.
