It took me 3 years to finally start feeling back to myself again after getting off mood stabilizers/anti-depressants that I took for about a year because I filled out a sheet of paper that said I had depression and the therapy I was given only lasted a few sessions when it seemed like I was okay because of the drugs.

I'm glad my parents never put me on meds for ADD, because all my primary school teachers said I would daydream a lot but I would always said I didn't. Turns out I have epilepsy instead, and we only found that out when I was 15. Then of course drugs got thrown at me like I was some sort of lab rat and that was almost it for me.
