@rlier23 leafy was always a real one. People say he "never grew up" but growing up is fucking gay

@p11 I don't have as much experience with Spanish people so I can't speak to that, but Spanish women do tend to be more fit than the aforementioned.

I think it's a mix of genetics and culture defining beauty standards.

@picandor good to hear :)
She's getting old though. Probably only has a couple more years.

@BlinkRape @berkberkman AMD is great in terms of raw performance but lacks a lot of nice features. but yeah again hopefully i don't have to buy anything for a while.

@BlinkRape @berkberkman hopefully i don't have to lol. in comparison to a 3080 though i'd rather get a 4070. i know the 40 series is being panned pretty hard right now but that's a good amount i'd be comfortable paying/saving for and it has the features i want. runs quieter, more power efficient, better video encoding, DLSS 3 is actually kind of cool imo even though it's weird.

but yeah by the time i saved money for it the GPU market will be completely different. i'm not going to be going away from my 2080ti until it physically breaks lol.

@berkberkman i'll probably be using a 1080p monitor until the day that i die lmao. maybe 1440p. MAYBE. but even then i don't think i'll play games like that. i value high detail and high frame rates more than high resolution.

@berkberkman so it was my best friend's card. he likes to overclock and all that stuff pretty heavily. it's a 3 fan card. one of the fans got off kilter, stopping because it was hitting the heat sink, and so the gpu was getting too hot and failing. he said he tried to underclock it but it didn't help.

i basically jerry rigged the fan to be a little bit straighter and shaved the heatsink down in the places it was hitting. that fan is about 20%-30% slower than the other 2 fans but it still gets the job done. i hear it lightly scrape up against the heat sink every 30 seconds or so but it's not enough to affect anything. if the fan gets any worse though i'll try and replace it, although i didn't replace it originally because it's a pain in the ass to take off the heatsink and reapply the thermal paste and all that just to replace one fan.

it's definitely a hack job, but for a free 2080ti you can't complain lmao. the dude's a pharmacist so he just bought a 3080ti and was like "ah yeah beard can probably fix this old one so he can have it."

my 1080 is from him too lol, it wasn't enough performance for him so he upgraded to the 2080ti right after it came out and i got the 1080 for $200. i'm a lucky guy.

@berkberkman i'd be rocking my 1080 for another little while and save up for something else, maybe a 4070.

@berkberkman i've got a 2080ti right now, but i was given a broken one to fix with the promise i could keep it if i could fix it lol.

if i had to buy a brand new card because this one broke or something, i definitely wouldn't buy another one that's for sure.

@berkberkman yeah that's what i was thinking. with all the bugs on 8gb cards on newer games, i'm thinking a 3060 12gb is actually a pretty good purchase if you've got a tighter budget.

i have a friend who has a 2080s in his part list he wants to buy and was telling him that he'll get better frame rates with it but newer games have some issues with the VRAM. which is retarded, but it is what it is.

under normal circumstances the 3060 doesn't really need 12gb, but for AI, video recording, and new games it might be a life saver.

do you guys think that buying a slightly slower GPU with more VRAM is better than buying a faster GPU with less VRAM, given the state of new games coming out?

@inlikeflint fuck the 1%, except actually no they should be choosing our president

???

@lina it's not war coverage, people in big servers tend to react to announcements with these flags and it is always funny to see which one has more people voting for it lmao
