@xianc78 I have difficulty settings in my game for 2 reasons.
1) you can level up forever so at some point the game might become too easy at standard difficulty
2) if balance is bad in a certain area and people don't want to grind for eternity, lowering the difficulty for a little bit to get through it is preferable to a player feeling frustrated and putting the game down

I'm just a solo dev so I can't account for that much. The more options I can provide the better.

@tomie @xianc78 I'll cheat or use glitches in single player if I'm beginning to not have fun but still want to beat the game. Gaming is something I do for fun at the end of the day. I duped items once I was 150 hours in to TotK and I used cheats for unlimited ammo in Sunset Overdrive for the horde sections. I put on God mode and infinite ammo a couple of times during Half Life also because I was borderline soft locked without it.

Cheats can be really good for removing annoyances and saving time when you are just trying to finish something and move on with your life.

@xianc78 what about increasing the difficulty if it becomes too easy

@white_male @Terry i mean, we definitely have the technology to strip and purify water of all of its impurities and even add minerals back into it afterward. as long as it is done well and is serviced well i don't see the harm in it. it sounds really weird and gross but it should be fine. better to have purified sewer water than NO WATER worst case.

@Terry i'm no water expert but isn't this just what happens anyway eventually with a mix of natural and manmade processes? it's probably safer to drink this than to lick your phone.
