started playing this little 3d platformer. apparently the publisher completely delisted it from everywhere it was being sold a few years ago and didn't even tell the devs they were doing it. the devs were able to get the rights for the IP but aren't allowed to redistribute the game unfortunately. total publisher death.

anyway, i've played it for about 45 minutes and it's quite fun so far. nothing super revolutionary, but you can tell it was made with love and that's a good feeling to have when you're playing a game. it's really unfortunate that you can't buy it anymore. however, it was on GOG so i'm sure there's a torrent floating around somewhere.

@xianc78 here's my test with the transparent wall stuff. the ability to make walls semi-transparent like this was only just recently added so i think it still has some issues with the rendering.

@realman543 i guess? xD definitely a more funny gay op than most though.

at the very least it's obviously not healthy to be that weight he was at and i hope he stays like this. i actually don't think it was even a "social experiment" the whole time; it turned into that when he started working out and he just rolled with it. but i'm glad he seems healthy.

it's also a reminder to maybe not take the internet so seriously all the time.

@applejack i don't speak icelandic but it seems like a fun song. maybe one that has a bit of a darker meaning to it judging on the volcanic imagery lol.

@NotAWeeb @applejack there is an "original" mode with no censorship and a "repop" mode that changes a bunch of stuff, for instance swapping out some of the gore for comic effects. kind of weird but it helps ease concerns a little bit at least. i don't think i've seen a game that has a censorship toggle quite like that. usually it's just a toggle to remove/reduce gore.

The black ops 6 beta has been pretty fun. I can't for the life of me figure out why they decided to stop pushing games as individual downloads though? It makes things so fucking confusing. I download BO6 and it downloads "Call of Duty" so I launch that, then I have to use that game to launch BO6 so it just takes extra time to boot into the game. It's like the most bloated launcher ever.

I hate this "unfiction" trend that's been going around recently. The videos are always really well done, but then it gets to the end and I find out it isn't real and get annoyed. Just watched a 30 minute video about a lost dinosaur point n click horror game and it all seemed pretty legit. Then at the very end it's just like "this is a work of unfiction."
