Just finished my 100% (side quests + marks, no arete stones) playthrough of Final Fantasy XVI. Clocking in at just under 65 hours. Not too crazy about the ending but, I get it. At the very least, it's not bleak.

@Iffine @Kyonko802 when i say quests i don't even necessarily mean big stuff with narratives and everything, even something as simple as villagers asking you to go kill a certain mob and bring them back their loot, then they'll give you emeralds which you can trade at an actual shop structure that sells multiple useful items and materials. like, villages are severely undercooked and only serve to be there so you can destroy them and take their shit.

@Iffine @Kyonko802 minecraft has a massive problem with adding random shit into the game. What the fuck is copper even used for and why is there so much of it? It would have been cool if they added it with some smelting mechanics but no it's just a random resource. Cool for getting the exact color and style of something you want I guess but that's about it.

Now people are getting excited that they might be adding fireflies.

If I were to add things in Minecraft I would want actual quests with more unique locations that they take place in. They could do something like Daggerfall with its procedural generation and still have a cool story that takes place. I would want some more unique weaponry and armors instead of just enchanted ones or new, stronger tiers that you don't even need because the game doesn't have any (meaningful?) content to use them for.

I still enjoy it for what it is but it hasn't evolved very much at all for the casual player. That's why so many people have been clamoring for something like Hytale for so long and why a lot of people are jumping over to Vintage Story (although that one is a little complicated for my tastes).

This includes ng+ upgrades as well apparently.

@matrix I actually don't know if there is a difference for fish, like if it's better to eat then raw. I'm sure they are still tested for disease and such before being used though, and carefully prepared.

@BrokenSword @Shlomo I don't know why anyone still uses it. You have to practically solve a rubik's cube if you want to post anything these days and there's nothing of value on there besides people who randomly leak shit, but even that happens more often on reddit and discord.

The Undying are by far the worst part about FF16's story in my opinion. Not only do they die, but they seem to not care about dying all that much at all. They have an allegiance to the Phoenix, but they sure do spend a lot of time getting themselves killed doing stuff that Clive has to pick up the pieces from. They have this weird, Reddit-tier "coexist" mentality too. There's a late-game quest that has this whole theme of giving people the liberty to die how they want to even if it is not a good death and it was just making me cringe the whole time. This Undying member sacrifices himself to a monster so that a bunch of people can come suicide, effectively, because they believe it will bring them salvation. What a fucking weenie.

Everything else is so good but the Undying leave a very sour taste in my mouth. They're supposed to be on your side, this cool secret order that helps you from the shadows. They really feel like a completely separate entity that just happens to loosely kind of do things that help you because it's their duty, or whatever. They don't have any real conviction and will, which are core themes of the story. Their alignment is neutral stupid.
