@creamqueen @Inginsub it's like assassin's creed shadows having an entire home building side game where you can even customize shit like your pets. Way too many games try to be everything all at once and then they have the nerve to complain about how much money they have to spend on games so they have to increase prices and shit. The sub 30m dollar games end up being better than the over 100m dollar ones because they are more focused and their core content is so much better.

@Inginsub walking simulator with goofy dialogue, odd celebrity cameos, piss and fecal weapons, and out of place product placement. Any ounce of intrigue I had for this game was lost when I saw monster energy and TV show ads with Sam's actor in them. Hideous Kojumbo at his finest, surely.

@The_Almighty_Kek @GolfCartLady the problem with the watermelon is that it still has the rind on it. Otherwise I would try it. Kiwi might be good in the same way pineapple is, but I've never had cooked/grilled kiwi so I don't know how much it it's sourness remains.

Banana pizza is actually a thing in some countries and they really like it. I would give it a shot. I feel like most stuff is probably good on pizza if prepared the right way, you just have to understand what you're eating and know it's not going to taste like a traditional pie.

What doesn't make me sad that's a part of steam next fest though is my rpg, God's Disdain. It'll be free when it comes out on March 14th but there's a limited demo out now. Give it a look :)

for my horror game, i'm going to try to use two different music styles in normal gameplay. one for the daytime sequences, and one for the nighttime sequences when things get amped up.

the former will be something like bohren & der club of gore. extremely atmospheric jazz.

i know silence is a good tool too, so the drone metal stuff at night will be a lot more akin to the bohren stuff but just with some distortion, if that makes sense.

there are a few different "floors" you'll go to, and each of those floors will have a different track that plays. each of those tracks will probably be like 10-15 minutes. then there will be some dedicated character and scene themes that are more upbeat, like the vocal songs in silent hill 3.

idk how close i'll get to these, but i do want to make sure the audio is really good. i think i might even make the voices during the night time segments crunchy, whereas they'll be very clear during the day. i want the switch between the two to be very contrasting. the themes need to have very strong melodies and some catchy vocals, preferably. it'll be interesting to see how close i get to this, with pretty much just myself to work with. i might be able to find a band to help out, but that's a little bit further into the future.

@Ronnie21093 never played it, didn't really appeal to me all that much. interesting idea though.

What amazing timing for the library to be closed for maintenance! Now I gotta travel even farther to get my stuff scanned. At this point I'm considering just taking pictures instead because it's gonna be like a $50 round trip otherwise!
