@RustyCrab I did that with silent hill 2 remake most recently. That game is such a drag. I only played it so that I could know it sucked instead of taking someone else's word for it so it was kind of a hate fuck of an experience.

This was years ago, but Axiom Verge 2 was one I genuinely was excited for and really had to force myself to finish because it was just reaaally nowhere near as good as the first one. I kept thinking it would get better later on but it never did.

Most of the time though I will just stop playing a game if I don't feel compelled to play it anymore. I can usually tell these days before I even start playing if I'm going to enjoy a game or not. I'll still give them a shot sometimes and I'll go in with an open mind, but at this point I kind of know what I'll end up disliking.

@irie i already have a decent sized backlog and that's already trimmed down from the amount of games i have but just haven't played (and may not ever). then i'm always getting new games on top of it and not even necessarily games i'm buying but ones from friends. first world problem for sure.

new guitar hero controller on the market. actually looks really fucking good and a great price too. i would still recommend getting a krakenmods solderless kit if you have a controller already that's in disrepair because that will run you half the cost, but for $120 this is actually really nice.
