@jadin project+ is the continuation of project m which is a brawl mod to make brawl play more like melee. it's extremely fun. there are a laundry list of changes and they even added mewtwo and roy back into the game. it's something you kind of have to play to understand the full depth of.

brawlonline.net is a fork of brawlback, which is still in development. brawlback has been in development for years, trying to get rollback netcode working for brawl (and, by extension, brawl mods such as p+ which is what everyone wants it for ultimately).

some brawlback devs are pissed that people are forking their open source code and using AI to bring it to the finish line. i even saw one of them in the p+ discord threatening to ban people who played this one when brawlback comes out which is retarded.

RPG Maker U2U has a free demo out right now! It's just a demo for the map creation so it doesn't have anything crazy in it, but so far this is the easiest 3D map creator I've used. Something about RPG Maker just has sauce man.

As you might be able to tell, the demo doesn't have the ability to place actual interactable objects yet so there aren't any doors. Instead, I had to paint closet doors onto rectangle shapes. Unfortunately, it doesn't seem like I can get the player to be able to walk through them as of right now.

Still early days, but I'm liking what I'm seeing a lot. It has a map import feature too so you can import your MV/MZ maps right into it. That's a really nice feature. You'll probably have to do a lot of work after that but it eliminates some of what you have to do so hey, that's nice.

i've been thinking about buying ps1/ps2/ps3 discs again considering that you can just insert them into your computer and play them on emulators. i think that's really fuckin cool.
