someone needs to make a little infographic of a bunch of quotes from Jesus and Hitler (with some liberty taken to make them both sound modern or both sound ancient) and then see if you can tell who said what.

@Mr_NutterButter yeah but they still have a lot of traction and are still able to cover up the degeneracy to the public. there will come a time when that is not the case.

@LittleTom the wii u pro controller is fucking incredible. i don't know what it is, but that thing feels so nice to hold. i unfortunately broke mine while opening it up to swap around the buttons for an xbox-like placing. the shoulder buttons on my controller had mysteriously short wires and snapped off when i was trying to put it back together. i never got around to fixing it and eventually lost some of the pieces at some point so i just chucked the rest :(

i like the ps4 controller too, especially with how much love it has been getting on PC recently with SDL getting merged into emulators and Steam Input having absurdly good support for them. 4-5 years ago you had to download relatively janky software to convert it into an xinput controller and if you wanted gyro you need even more programs to send the gyro data over a local address, and these days it often just works, gyro included.

never been a fan of xbox controllers, so i'm not a huge fan of the switch pro controller either. joycons suck ass, the dualsense feels horrible imo. the only other controller i REALLY like is the gamecube controller, and if i can use it for a game i will.

it reminds me of what is currently happening with the coronavirus vaccine. even if it is not directly malicious, there was always the race to see who would be able to get it out the fastest because their name would surely enter the public sphere for decades to come. how much that was given to us as fact was fabricated just so that somebody could be known as the first?

on top of that, things that have been relatively established truths for decades are constantly shifting. when will massive findings come out that flip everything we believed about Earth's atmosphere, or the life cycle of a star, or any other number of things that are more or less relevant to our lives?

it's important for the scientific community to have integrity, and it's equally as important for YOU to have integrity. if something doesn't add up to you, if you have concerns or worries, having those feelings isn't for no good reason. it's the natural human defense mechanism of doubt, which is just as important as trust.

@hideki they're all good for different reasons and different genres

apparently there is a twitch extension that makes it so that chatters can set their pronouns or something. that's pretty gay. i've never heard a chatter being referred to as pronouns anyway, it's always just their username.
