@Mr_NutterButter @coolboymew they do! Gingerbread man and gingerbread girl. Never heard those before?

@MischievousTomato I feel like Linux is just actively attacking me as a person xD applejack made a colorblind filter for me and I tried for days to get it working and was never able to. I'm not tech illiterate, it's just that what is working for everyone else never works for me xD

Even when it comes to my fedi instance, shit just breaks for no reason or is all set up in different folders than it should be lol.

@MischievousTomato yeah that's what I was reading, I'm using Linux mint so idk if that's its own thing but I don't seem to have that button. Might just disable the cpu graphics in the bios if I'm gonna be playing games. Or do the unthinkable and reinstall windows to see if it works again xD

@MischievousTomato that doesn't work for some reason man, I launch steam with it and set the argument for the game too and it's still just reading my integrated graphics, nothing else D:

Trying to play games on Linux with a dedicated gpu in a laptop is way harder than it needs to be, I can't for the life of me get games to recognize I've got an AMD card instead of just using my integrated graphics.

@lottev @alyx @mushroom_soup I don't really get it tbh, it's weird because you'll have block characters and then like fully modeled 3d genitals

@icedquinn @DarkMahesvara @Giganova8 most of the competition only wanted to make their own launcher so they wouldn't have to pay valve as much.

@icedquinn @DarkMahesvara @Giganova8 they're also the only ones really trying to compete with steam it seems, they're going to be adding mod support to galaxy soon from what I hear.

@Giganova8 "steam monopoly" is still the funniest meme.

Origin
Uplay
Heroic
GoG
Microsoft Store
Twitch/Amazon
Discord
Itch.io
BattleNet
Bethesda Launcher
and more

all before EGS tried to "save pc gaming" :zt_laugh: if there ever was a monopoly it was because nobody wanted to use anything else since none of them could even with wish to compare to steam (except maybe GoG)

not to mention that steam since at least 2015 is investing in preventing the actual possible monopoly which is Windows/Microsoft Store by pushing linux (obviously out of self interest too).
