@Varus I should probably start leading with "are you single" instead of asking for a number because I'm met with "I have a boyfriend" every time I ask

@matrix @LukeAlmighty I tend to just turn reflections off lol, and cube maps can look better in some situations. They're not as accurate, but they're not as annoying imo.
@LukeAlmighty @matrix ahhh there was a video I was watching a while ago that showed it pretty well but I can't remember what it was, maybe a 2kliksphilip video? I'll have to go check.
It's just really annoying to me how the reflection changes based on where your camera is pointing. It's really bad when it's applied to things like large bodies of water, slick and reflective floors, or windows. For small puddles and things that are heavily diffused it can look fine, and I think it's great for fixed perspective games or games where you're going too fast to recognize it, like driving games.
@coolboymew @MischievousTomato @BigTony I'm personally reminded of those videos where the dude spends like 6 hours talking about elder scrolls games. I like learning about all of the lore and shit, it's pretty cool. I don't like the games much but the lore I'm all there for, so listening to someone else talk about it is cool. For this video I guess the reason to watch it would be if you don't want to play the game because it's like 50+ hours or whatever but you're still interested in it, so watching a very detailed explanation that's much shorter than that could be interesting. I'll probably never play Chrono Cross but I'd be down to watch a 5 hour video about it (in chunks of course).
When it's a game you have already played, it can be kind of nice too since you get someone else's perspective and it almost makes the game fresh for you again. If you really loved a game it can help a little with that post-game depression solely because it's more content about the game.
@Kyou I bask in the cringe
@matrix @LukeAlmighty at least give the option to use it. I would rather have a 30fps lock and ps2 graphics than dithering, it looks horrible. I feel that way about screen space reflections too. They just look like ass.
@LukeAlmighty FUCK DITHERING
