@Beefki I think Pathfinder is a little bit too complicated for someone who is just getting into it. That's partially why 5e is so popular. 5e GETS more complicated, because it is not super well balanced or as consistent. Pathfinder is really cool, and Pathbuilder is awesome, it's something I want to pivot to, but not for fresh newbies! I can barely keep people understanding 5E of all things lol.
@matrix need
I really don't want to support WotC but the fact remains that D&D Beyond is the best thing on the market for new/inexperienced players. I want to be able to give these players the best experience I can so they don't get too overwhelmed all at once. It's also pretty important that they have such a good user interface for the character sheets, since one of my players has muscular dystrophy and someone would have to write everything down for him if he couldn't just use his phone with an easy interface.
@YeetLibs people play rs3?
@deprecated_ii all of my passwords sound like very long Harry Potter spells
new (unofficial) bionicle game coming out. pretty wild. gameplay looks fun.
@modpod @icedquinn fast racing neo is on wii u, fast rmx is basically the same game but upgraded on switch. it controls similarly to f-zero, but it has a color switch mechanic where you have to swap what color you're using when you go over boost pads to match the color of the boost pad. if you don't swap you slow down, if you do swap you speed up. that's the basic gameplay.
i can't play the snes star fox unfortunately. frame rate is too low for me, ends up kind of hurting my eyes. sf64 is my favorite game of all time though.
@modpod @icedquinn thankfully Aero GPX is in development and coming out soon! I played the demo and man that shit is GOOD. feels like the perfect blend between f-zero x and gx, and adds in these cool aerial segments too.
the other game that gets pretty close to that f-zero feeling is fast rmx. pretty cool game. all the other ones are more akin to wipeout.
eventually i'll get to making a star fox 64 clone. one day lol. there are a lot of people who have tried but they always miss the mark a little bit imo.
i have lamented the lack of any star fox 64 hacking tools. it seems like it's one of the only popular 64 games without any hacks. i'd love to make custom levels using its engine.
