@icedquinn that's the curse of integrity, ain't it? I think it's part of why rich people have none of it. It's all fake.

They made "Knuckles Stands With Israel" real and it's like nothing even happened. I can't deal with the level of acceleration we're at right now.

@LukeAlmighty apparently shift up has done this exact same thing before and all the Korean bros were talking about it but nobody saw because the language barrier. Pulling the whole "this was what the intended design was the whole time" which is obviously not true.

so, in order to replace the battery on my phone, i need to basically destroy the back of it. yeah, no thanks, i'll just buy a new one i guess >.> i'll probably be able to trade this one in too.

@LukeAlmighty literally all i know about this location is that it is where my roommate's fallout 3 playthrough completely fell apart because a bunch of models started spaghettying everywhere and it got so bad that the game just crashed. his only save was right before it started happening.

I am noticing though that the game's combat is HARD. Like, frustrating hard. So I have a bit more tuning to do in that regard. I actually want it to be a fairly casual game that doesn't require a lot of grinding. I know the combat is one of the weaker elements technically, it's no Chrono Trigger with all these different party attacks and such you know. So I don't want players to have to battle not only enemies but also the urge to keep playing lol.

I'm done testing for the night, but I have tuned down the enemy stats by 65% and I need to buff magic a little bit. That's a pretty big change, so I'll have to see if it's too easy at this point. It'll likely take a few playthroughs to really start to get it locked in, and then obviously testers after me will probably have some shit to say about it too lol.

Balancing the combat is definitely my weak point as a developer. I used a lot of math to get here but I might have overtuned it... by a bit.... or a lot.

Actually some really cool news about the game...

I've been playing for about 3 hours at this point in my test run, and I've only done 1 main quest and 3 side quests. There are I think something like 50 side quests and 6 main quests, so it's looking like the game will be AT LEAST 20 hours playing casually, which is great! That's the sweet spot I wanted to hit, somewhere between 20-30 hours ideally.

Of course, this is just extrapolation and I'll have the real numbers soon enough, but I'm still pretty happy with that. Again, it's my own game so I think I naturally will get more invested in it, but I am pretty happy overall with how the world is and all the little stuff I'm finding. I somehow magically managed to pace things pretty well!

@mitchconner decomp and pc port are two different things, usually it takes a bit after the decomp is done for the port to be worked on. is there really a pc port??

Oh man I guess the Goldeneye 64 decomp and PC port are done
