So the paper Mario ttyd remake has poor translation, had weird pre-order cancelation issues, and only runs at 30fps. Nintendo getting more cooked with each game release honestly. The original was 60fps. Just emulate that shit with an HD texture pack instead. No amount of visual upgrades are worth making a game run worse than it used to, especially if said game has an entire mechanic focused on timing button presses.

@LukeAlmighty @xyfdi that was definitely back in the day when it was cool to have detailed death animations, dead space popularized that.

i liked the game because it was like a grittier uncharted. tomb raider got inspiration from indiana jones, uncharted got inspiration from tomb raider, and then tomb raider got inspiration from uncharted. then, uncharted got some inspiration from tomb raider again but did it worse xD the stealth parts in uncharted 4 suck ass.

@xyfdi the reboot games (which are prequels technically, i guess) are very tonally different. haven't played the third one but i liked the first two. heard the third one wasn't as good so i skipped it. the other two i 100% completed though, had a good time with them despite them being not really anything like the originals.

oh boy, game has a memory leak. gotta start troubleshooting shit now. only a few things have changed since this happened, but one of those is the new RAM i put in my PC so i hope it's not just the RAM itself doing something weird. i'll have to test on multiple computers too.

@LukeAlmighty it doesn't work in incognito, it can be turned off, it's stored locally, and by default it only works on the last 3 months of activity. it also is specifically available for laptops with a certain snapdragon processor.

@berkberkman @PurpCat @Kyonko802 infamous second son looks a lot better. Fucking love that game. Sucker Punch has their finger on the pulse of making realistic looking games that still have a lot of style.

Sunset Overdrive looked pretty sick too. Didn't enjoy the game a whole lot but I like the graffics

A game I think is VERY stylistically bold is the system shock remake. It uses these awesome low resolution textures to great effect.

@PurpCat @berkberkman @Kyonko802 characters still looked sharp and characterized although realistic and they butchered that going forward.
