@inTrax it goes to show how great mk8 looked in the first place. Nintendo really knows how to make their games look pretty. I'm really glad they aren't using dlss or RT. Metroid prime 4 also looked gorgeous, and that one is running at 4k60 somehow, which they did talk about on the direct.
@Hephaestic @Mr_NutterButter the aesthetic is just too good
@Nanakoko so adorable ![]()
just watched the tron ares trailer.
it looks okay. i just don't have any faith in disney or jared leto.
there is already a precedent for things from the grid escaping to real life. it's what clu wanted to do and it is what quorra ended up doing. so the feasible nature of it is fine, but i'm not sure i like the idea of some sort of evil grid invasion of the real world if that makes sense. i'd rather have the battle take place on the grid.
the FX do look cool in the real world though so idk, it could be fun to watch at the very least.
@Jens_Rasmussen even then, if you're getting the relative amount of content/playtime from an $80 game that you would with a $60 game + a $20 DLC doesn't that still make it worth it? a $20 DLC for an $80 game would just be extra stuff beyond that.
you're gonna' get less sales selling an $80 video game than you would with a $60 game and $20 DLC, naturally not everyone will be able to pay that $80 right away or want to commit to that and the $20 dlc later feels a lot more approachable. i think that's a better talking point than just saying that an $80 game isn't worth the money though because it very well could be worth the money if it's that good. theoretically, of course.
