TL;DR #1: Legal pressure, though not direct. Monetary costs reaching unsustainable levels. Site users getting out of hand. Vistarrr recommends keeping any new sites niche and thinking hard about what kind of community you want to foster.

TL;DR #2: Vistarrr was away from ATF so the site admins and mods made a backup. They reinstated a mod who was previously removed to help do this by way of adding a backdoor. Vistarrr returns and tells people that the backup is dangerous and is assured it has been deleted. Said mod lied about deleting it, is unhinged, and chimps out, threatening to leak the entire thing. Any ATF clones that pop up after the website shuts down are NOT to be trusted.

@japananon i can honestly respect it if a place wants to have somewhere that people can seriously talk about very mature topics that would be pretty taboo to talk about elsewhere, but when you got niggas like this running around you gotta draw the line somewhere man.

@bruh_momento yeah, people don't have any actual respect for places like this. if you want an actual healthy community, you really need to lay down the law and be firm in what doesn't fly. otherwise, cretins will come out of the woodwork and bleed you dry. they'll co-opt your shit. you think there are similar ideals going around, but then these evil motherfuckers just bend you over and fuck you up the ass for your hospitality. then when you bring it up they'll just hurl insults and push you out. it happens all the time.

in atf's case it isn't a small percentage of bad actors. nothing short of going full nuclear and banning pedophile shit would actually save it, and there are so many users who are there for that it might end up becoming a ghost town.

I heard that someone who has played RE9 early was invoking Devil May Cry when it comes to Leon's gameplay. It kind of looks that way, honestly. Seeing Leon tear through a zombie with a chainsaw, blow one's head off execution style, and then smash another one's head up against a wall with his boot all back-to-back is fucking awesome. I can't wait.
