I tried using Borderless Gaming to run PSO2 at 1080p on my new 1440p monitor, but the UI was all pretty blurry.
The in-game resolution setting isn't directly customizable, you only get a 50% setting and a 67% setting. Since 1080p is 75% of 1440p, I'd be running BELOW 1080p at that point so I didn't want that.
Normally, PSO2 has an absolutely TRASH DLSS setting, I guess it just hasn't been updated in years. I tried to get the newest Preset K running but it turned the game into liquid because it doesn't use a transformer model. The newest Preset A works pretty well but it really fucks with particles, leaves massive trails which is annoying.
FSR 1.0 (the game doesn't support anything higher) doesn't have trails, but the image is less temporally stable and it sharpens everything too much.
I'm so glad that the game I play the most often THAT'S STILL ACTIVE BTW give you fuck all for upscaling capability. The best way for me to play remains at 1080p on an actual 1080p monitor. I'm not going to just keep that monitor for one game though, that's retarded.
Added a new bullet type. This one is just like the standard bullet, but has a longer range.

HOLY SHIT 1440p is like breaking my brain man, I'm playing pso2 and this shit is so much more clear it's distracting! I play at 90fps and that's like right on the cusp of what my GPU can handle at 1440p. So I think I'll keep playing at 1080p or try to inject some better DLSS into it because the default is horrible quality lol. I watch YouTube while I play most of the time so if my GPU is running at 100% and I'm trying to watch a video at the same time, it's not going to be pretty lol.
2080 Ti seems to be a decent 1440p60 GPU, that's how I played RE8 on my TV actually! I've seen the difference between that and 1080p with that game, but this is the first time I'm experiencing it with Phantasy Star and I'm just going a little crazy lol. The game has a lot of detail in it I've just never been able to see, or it is just easier to notice now.
