@girlonthenet You can show people being shot or exploded into pieces no problem. But show explicit acts of sexual love and people lose their minds.
And that tells you all you need to know about this society.
When it’s sex, they’re like ‘implement a nationwide block’ but when it’s violence they’ll shrug it off.
apparently, remedy hasn't broken even on alan wake 2 yet. i don't know whose idea it was to funnel such a massive amount of money into a horror project, a genre that has always been more niche even amongst gamers. i'm sure part of the reason is also that it doesn't exist on steam, which honestly is a pretty big sales killer unless you have a MUST HAVE game that exists well within the public conscience of not just gamers, but general audiences.
Man, the performance of this game is awful. They really didn't fix it up at all since the prologue demo. Every single time you walk into a new room you can say goodbye to your frames. Sometimes it's just opening doors or walking into a new part of the room. I know it's not my hardware either because after walking around in a tiny ass room for a bit it all becomes stable again.
Where did modern engines go so wrong man? I can go back and play Alan Wake and it looks just as good as this does, maybe even better, and it'll run on a modern day toaster. I noticed there was no shader pre-compilation stage for the game and that's probably a big chunk of why it is so laggy.
mainly post about music and games, and share art from artists i like.
obviously i don't condone any sort of abuse/exploitation irl, go fuck yourself.
