@beardalaxy I think it's important to point out that lolicon is banned in the U.K. (where this case occured) as CSAM, so, ironically, if it was legalized/decriminalized, then maybe this person wouldn't have done what they did...
@bajax @Aldo2 i generally think that loli can help people cope with attractions BUT there is a big problem with people basically driving each other deeper in the loli community in certain spaces it seems, so you still have to go about it in a healthy way otherwise it won't go well. that's why it's important for lolicons to have a good antibody response when they see that type of shit and i don't see that enough.
another use case for loli as a coping mechanism i've seen is for people who have been abused. i don't really know the psychology behind it or anything but yeah.
@tomie @beardalaxy @bajax This is why I hate the whole "ban loli/shota" thing. I know a Shota artist, really weird nerdy dude, who draws both /ss/ and homo shota art. It's *very* clear from his art which one is "god I wish I would've had this" and "this is my therapy."
@picandor @beardalaxy @bajax one very noticeable trend with male artists is all kinds of mom issues, which results in them drawing borderline grotesque honkers badonkers
@tomie @beardalaxy @bajax it wasn't his mom, but his teacher, but I do see your point. It's also why most of his onee-shota artwork is in/around a school.
@bajax @picandor @beardalaxy that, too; and there's also a noticeable trend of prudish burgers clashing with the literal rest of the world just depicting what they consider normal or at least passable
@bajax @picandor @beardalaxy or even just a 18 y/o who is not real anyway drinking alcohol
@tomie @beardalaxy @bajax the ladies he draws are always slightly threatening looking (you know exactly what I'm talking about, don't lie) and proportions are exaggerated. with the male/male art it's more like "male bonding, but make it incredibly sexual" and I respect that.
