@picandor He was always a God. He's the Messiah returned. Just as his first coming as Jesus, he came to mankind in the body of an ordinary man, and preached God's teachings of the Religion of Gaming. Then, when he finally deemed fit, he undertook a soul searching pilgrimage on the top of a WoW mountain, from which he returned with his face transfigured into his current godly appearance.

Either that, or he started taking better care of his body later in life, and growing old explains the white hair & beard.
