@Locksmith @admin @lnxw37a2 LOL I'm sorry man, I'm a free thinker, I don't toe the political line just because Massa Democrat says so. It may be odd to see a black man defending the rights of whites, but that's just because I think their lives matter as much as the lives of black people like me. We should not be treated different or special because of our skin color.

But of course, that is counter-cultural and white supremacist talk. So be it. If striving to achieve 's dream leads me to being painted as a white supremacist, I don't care. In fact, that might be a badge of honor.

P.S. I'm guessing you're being tongue in cheek, but still, this is something that I've been called which is why I'm addressing it in this way.

@lnxw37a2 What percantage of whites commit crimes over blacks? There could be a reason they interact more with black citizens than white citizens.

The issue with trying to use general population to make things seem worse than they actually are is that it's innacurate; cops have nothing to do with black people being a minority in this country. They can't choose that, they can only choose who they interact with.

And again, last year, 19 unarmed whites were killed by police, compared to 9 unarmed blacks. 9 is not 2.135 times more than 19. In fact, it flies in the face of the conclusion you're trying to fit your facts into, because cops interact more with black people than white people. If anything, it's disproportional against whites; cops interact with way more blacks but shoot and kill way more whites! Isn't that fascinating?

This is why it's important to focus on police training and not racism. The knee-jerk reaction society has to these situations is "muh racist, treat black people better, cops!" when the real issue is low standards and police unions that protect bad cops. Bust the unions and have higher training standards so that all citizens, not just black citizens, have a better chance at surviving, the cops are better at doing their jobs, and everyone is safer and the law continues to be upheld.

It's cheaper than you might expect. Husk runs on a $5 VPS with a $2 domain name.

> This is NOT the way to rate proportionality.

Why not?

> Consider per capita values. Any other method is deceptive.

How is this deceptive?

Two good sources of Free Speech Instances, which will basically let you say anything you want:

fuckgab.com/
wowana.me/fediverse.xht

Imma assume you only case care instances (however, any instance that claims it only bans "explicitly hate-based speech" like might work for you too); here are my recommendations:

fedi.absturztau.be/main/friend
neckbeard.xyz/main/all
pl.smuglo.li/main/all

Although, some notes: the neckbeard community is kinda annoying, I block them every once in awhile because they love to tag me in hellthreads. Also, GNU/Smug has some loli porn, I think, so if you don't like loli porn and aren't very good at ignoring the local instance community you might wanna go elsewhere.

Using the web-apps feel clunky after you get push notifications working with a mobile client as well, esp. on crowded nodes. (Honestly, if they handled the disconnect / reconnect quietly at first in the front-end you wouldn't notice as much of the odd flickering in the wires anyway.)
Weird how people think about inhabiting Mars when we haven't even inhabited Antarctica yet.
@mikey @realcaseyrollins I'm not sure about politics but qoto may be interesting if you like tech and stem stuff. and gameliberty is pretty free for all from what I can tell
If “Forest Gump” was so good then why wasn’t there a “Forest Gump 2”?
@realcaseyrollins @mikey fair enough tbh it's their instance . at least they fairly stated their view and didn't just delete account without saying anything.
@mikey @Ox @realcaseyrollins

FSE is a very nice instance. @p is good admin, and - for the userload - it runs impressively well.
@realcaseyrollins @Ox @mikey

"Let's all love Lain" -- It's a reference to the anime Serial Experiments Lain, which is worth watching, and I think you'd get a kick out of it personally. You should try it. I noticed this earlier, what sort of an instance are you looking for Mikey? Have you considered self-hosting?
@realcaseyrollins Basically, I want a place where I can be myself. I'm a libertarian (civil libertarian, not an ancap) interested in tech, space, linguistics, and a lot of other subjects. I grew up with Usenet, so I learned long ago to have a thick skin and a big killfile.

I prefer Pleroma for the UI. Mastodon is too heavy for my browser.
