@matana Doesn't the Russian government already support ReactOS so they don't have to use Windows.

@djsumdog That guy is an idiot for making YouTube videos about it.

@djsumdog I will literally build a house on unzoned land if I have to.

In perfect hell for grid managers, Global Warming causes coldest start to winter in South-East Australia since WWII
"If only carbon dioxide make winter nights warmer, Australians wouldn’t have been using up stockpiles of coal and gas in the last six weeks, and setting winter-time demand records. These geniuses got everything wrong."

I don't think everyone is going to accept crypto. I think ideally, crypto should be used for online/digital purchases while precious metals or just simple bartering could be used for in-person trading. Remember that anything can be used as a currency.

@PhenomX6 @dave This is the perfect timing to buy more Monero.
Most people make the mistake to buy during the bull market, and sell during the bear market.
If your purpose is to make more fiat, you'll need to do the opposite of that.
If your purpose is to prepare for the future of finance, best is still to buy while cheap, and otherwise mine so you're ready to use once everyone stops accepting fiat, and starts accepting crypto instead.

Forget about CBDCs, they're already doomed to become a failure.
Governments will probably push it as hard as they can, and maybe people will actually use it at the beginning, but as soon as they realize the fundamental design problems with CBDCs (like how they're basically government vouchers, not money), nobody will give a fuck about CBDCs.

@PhenomX6 That screenshot reminds me of the platformer tutorial for XNA. It's generic as fuck.

Fellas I've found the most indie, indie game.

Mascot plarformer nobody cares about, mascot that not even furries care about, $20 at gamestop and forgotten about, but somehow had a physical release while your favorite cult game didn't get one.

The real solution to the housing shortage is to ignore zoning laws and build houses on unzone land. Then sell them on the black market.

@djsumdog I only like the idea of remote work because you are less likely to be required a vaccine and you don't have to live in a big city if you don't like urban areas.

@ryo You also have to pay to get the ESRB, CERO, PEGI, etc to review and rate your game, and I just don't want to pay the extra fee for that. Video game, movie, TV, etc ratings are bullshit. Just slap a "parental advisory" warning if your game has mature content.

Nintendo also asked to remove a Ruby interpreter easter egg in one game despite the fact that the interpreter in question was sandboxed and thus poses no security risks. I find that bullshit because a lot of games have hidden Unix terminals, BASIC interpreters, etc as easter eggs.

@PhenomX6 @ryo I'd rather not support Xbox One/Series X|S because it's Microsoft and I really don't like the direction they are going (not just gaming but everything else). At least porting to Windows doesn't require a licensing fee.

@Moon Given all the metaverse bullshit being pushed on us, I don't want anything to do with VR.

@galena Even then, I think people should sell more than their used stuff at yard-sales. They are probably the most libertarian forms of association we have in our current statist society.

I wonder what is most offgriders' plan for when their propane runs out?

Toot TUI doesn't seem to support refreshing the timeline.
