I may be anti-globalist, but I really do believe that we should all be speaking the same language now.
@allison I think a lot of other EU countries don't recognize it or don't recognize it unless the author has been dead for x amount of years. I can't name any off of the top of my head though.
I also know that some countries like Russia treat public domain differently. In Russia, you are still required to credit the author.
CC0 and the Unlicense both have fallback licenses. I personally recommend the CC0 for non-software works.

I'm writing a post that's going to go on my webpage as a HTML text file about the Kiwi Farms drama honestly since I think there is a lot people can learn from this whole thing on both how to fend off attacks like what the site is going up against, but also how not to draw so much heat.
