@icedquinn Fuck roads. Just let people drive freely instead on restricted paths.

I really love how globalist organizations are now using "global governance" as a lighter term for "global government". It's not subtle at all.

Just saw this https://www.w3.org/2022/07/pressrelease-did-rec.html.en

Is this the preparation for everything you do being stored in the blockchain and used for social credit? Look at all the supporting quotes:

>Our mission to bring real-life trust to the internet in the simplest way through one single, global digital ID is guaranteed by standardised, globally recognised decentralised identifiers and verifiable credentials.

>The European Commission strives to ensure that European values are at the heart of our digital transition. This includes, in particular, to provide people with control over their online identity and data as well as to enable access to public, private and cross-border digital services.

And also look at the member list of the W3C: https://www.w3.org/Consortium/Member/List

Seems obvious to me. All the big corporations and governments are going all in on this.

@digdeeper Time to make our own internet before it becomes literally impossible to log online without a digital ID.

since there's so many of you now i'd like to take the time to remind you that while it's good you're here with us, the strength of the fediverse and its resiliency lasts in spreading out. having everyone on one specific server (such as poast in this case) makes it easier for someone to target us to take down individuals they dont like (see the keffals drama if you need an example of this)

to make sure the fediverse is healthy it's wise for you to make your own servers for your own communities. some of you will say "i dont have any administration experience," or "i don't know linux" or something similar -- there are many people here who can help you set up and even help you learn to administrate your own server. there are also many open registration servers, but with joining one of those (such as poast) you agree to adhere to their ethos, in our case if you don't like anime you need to get the fuck off my website.

you can self host at home if thats your kind of thing, most fediverse server software come with (or have easily accessible google guides) on how to run a single user instance at home. consider googling "how can I run a single user pleroma instance at home?"

This space is where I had a host recommendation, and while I'd recommend crunchbits as their owner has stood by and for us against people for years, they currently have no stock. when they restock (and finish their rebrand) I will have a link here ASAP.

there are lots of guides available and i and many other owners and/or admins can help you if you run into questions. most of us are approachable and will help when we can

the chick who develops our stuff? thats @mkljczk and others. If you'd like to support Nicole, shoot a DM, chat or @!

that being said, a lot of you dont care or just want to be here or whatever in which case we welcome you. if you like what we do here consider a [crypto](https://poa.st/donate/crypto) or [fiat donation](https://give.poast.org) to keep poast running.

thanks for being here and we are looking forward to the growth of fediverse as a whole as this takes away the stranglehold on public discourse

i hate the phrase "immersive sim"
more than "moba" and "metroidvania" and "soulslike" and "strand type"
the "immersive sim" is such a poorly defined non-genre that is either limited to 2 developers, or contains half of all video games.
>systems interact to provide emergent gameplay
in mario kart i put a banana down to block a red shell. its an immersive sim.
>but it has to be not intended by developer
i use the pause exploit in megaman 1 to cheese all the bosses. its an immersive sim.

So, right now:
Jordan Peterson is openly speaking against anonymous accounts.

Tim pool is openly speaking against anonymous accounts.

Politicians are begging for any excuse to de-anonymize the internet...

Oh no....
