@Soy_Magnus @djsumdog @pawlicker He worked as an operating system programmer for TicketMaster back in the 90s, before his mental breakdown.

There are forks of Temple OS out there that add a few features that you would find in a normal OS like networking. Though a lot of forks try not to stray away from Terry's original vision, just out of respect.

@Mr_NutterButter There were several talks at the WEF talking about collecting literal brain data. You can find them at their website. The uses for monitoring people's mere thoughts vary from measuring employees productivity to preventing crimes before they happen to muh mental health. They were even talking about punishing people for wrongthink.

@Soy_Magnus @djsumdog @pawlicker Sure he is comedy gold for some, but as Mister Metokur said at the end of his video, he is the perfect example on how mental illness can ruin even the most talented people.

@ryo Mono is slowly becoming deprecated. MonoGame is using .NET Core now outside of mobile platforms.

@djsumdog @pawlicker Too bad, he will be mostly known for the memes more than the OS or any of his other works. I would really like to see a serious operating system using things like a full programming language as the shell or graphics in the source code.

@pawlicker A family member literally had a conversation about Terry A Davis with his boss once.

@sjw needs to get rid of that if he really cares about privacy.

@JohnShirley2023 @kissane @pieist @JohnShirley2023 @corfiot @kissane @pieist Ladies and gentlemen I present to you one of the first cyberpunk authors advocating for a kill switch *on open source software*

You either die a nobody or live long enough to to have a boomer induced aneurysm on your keyboard.

@ryo
To me, it seems like one of the many new languages that is trying to be that C/C++ replacement along with Go, Zig, D, and Jai. People want a replacement because C suffers from the problem of being too simple yet difficult to use effectively (need to grasp pointers, learn how data is managed, etc.), while C++ has too many features tacked on over the years that it's difficult to fully learn. So everyone is trying to create a replacement with varying degrees of success.

>And so many who used .NET in the past who now have to rewrite their stuff again now that more people decided to switch to Linux, BSD, or macOS even.

Mono and .NET Core exists. C# is probably the most popular programming language for indie games. Of course, it's supported on Linux. I used C# on Linux up until recently. Only problem is that it's heavily frowned upon in the Linux community for obvious reasons and that compiled Mono/.NET applications still have .exe extensions which makes it confusing if you also use Wine.

Enemies can now drop keys if set to do so.

I was also experimenting with tile colors. I thought a light blue/cyan would be an interesting color for the tiles. I was expecting a bathroom-like aesthetic but it ended up looking like an ice cave instead.

@Moon @7666 @lain I wouldn't trust FastMail. They seem shady.

digdeeper.club/articles/email.

Posteo.de seems like the best. It's paid, but it is 1 EUR per month and they even allow cash by mail. Disroot seems like a decent choice if you want a free provider, but the various backgrounds they use on their website give me Antifa vibes. They claim that anyone can use it regardless of ideology.
