@Tadano Well C# also has both. The only difference is that in C# you are more likely to use references just like in Java (pointers just being a bonus feature for more advanced users), while in C++ you are more likely to use pointers because you would naturally be use to them.

>C++ has both references AND pointers.

Why do you have to add more features just to make everything confusing?

Reminder that the Global Pandemic Treaty is still a thing and is planned to be passed by 2024.

It even includes that the US is basically the military enforcement of the WHO.

@icedquinn @beardalaxy Well one of the first CRPGs was developed by a high schooler so it is possible. Granted, it was probably MUCH smaller in scope.

@beardalaxy @icedquinn
>Massive, open world game dev has been hell. It's a lot easier to do that in a D&D campaign where you can do a lot of improv on the spot if you have to and then jot it down afterward.

Are you seriously going the western-style RPG route for your game? Most indie RPGs appear to be JRPG inspired right down to their structure. I can't even think of a single open-world indie RPG.

@beardalaxy @icedquinn I know you have a busy schedule, but you NEED to learn to make sacrifices if you want to achieve your goals. Try to cut off things that you don't do for a living. That does NOT mean cutting of your social life. If D&D is your only social outlet, maybe try smaller campaigns or don't try to host two campaigns at once.

@beardalaxy Let me guess. All your unused video game ideas went into that D&D campaign or this is just an excuse not to work on your game.

The dungeon crawler project got too complex, so I decided to abandon it for now. I decided to make a clone of one of my all time favorite arcade games, Spy Hunter.

@pawlicker @sjw @lanodan Wow! The fighting game community isn't a hugbox unlike the speedrunning community.

@sjw @lanodan Oh yeah, that one weird adaptive controller that looks like a high school electrical engineering project.

@lanodan @sjw There are third-party controllers for PlayStation consoles (maybe other consoles as well) that are one handed, but they are designed for JRPGs. The idea is that you would be holding the controller on one hand while holding a strategy guide on the other.

@lanodan @sjw Out of all the companies, only one of them accommodated for one handed people, at least to my knowledge.

If Meta is really working on a new ActivityPub-powered social network, I see it as a very positive signal overall--my personal feelings towards Meta notwithstanding. For one, it's validation for our entire ecosystem from the biggest player. It also tells me that they don't see themselves as strong enough to keep users locked inside their walled garden anymore. It means the tide is really turning for interoperable social media, and that's always been the goal.

Modern nintendo consoles: didnt use me in a year? Oopsie, bricked! Actually used the controller more than 5 minutes? Broken joystick. Had an impure thought in a 5 mile radius of the console? It is on fire now.

The DS: yeah im old as fuck and you dropped me down a flight of stairs but hey im good, just a scratch. Ripped off the top screen in a ragequit? You could still use me to play gba games
