@skylar @mischievoustomato @lewdthewides @sun_eater @ben Pawoo is able to do it, but maybe that's because Japanese users don't know any better. Librem Social is another commercial instance but it's more of a bonus feature that you get for paying for their email service (which you shouldn't use btw because it literally asks for your home address even when paying with crypto).
I'm not necessarily against monetization either, I just think it's pointless if your server is small enough to be paid from your own wallet and/or donations.

This is why you say no to the people behind blocklists. Don't let them blackmail you or decide which instances you block. You don't need them to be safe on fedi, they need you to keep their blocklist important especially if they want to show their instance/side of the fediverse as popular.
It is better to block on an individual basis as you go than to outsource it to anyone else.
