the "bomb threat" dialog in the media is transparently garbage because anybody can make all the fake bomb threats they want whenever you talk about something, to make it look like people supporting you are doing it. NBC knows this and are running their story anyway because they are disreputable.

Interesting that the USA government is spending money to develop smartphone identification/government access mobile apps in other countries like Ukraine, but not here.

@LukeAlmighty it is exceedingly important to fill a child's mind with information that will set them up for a good future. I have a feeling that gen alpha will grow up to absolutely resent how poorly they were treated.

Just making sure this stays on your mind. Don't ever forget this.

I also tried BlueSky and here are some quick takeaways:
- The app sucks and the experience is terrible. It's like using an older, jankier version of Twitter.
- It's dead. It's an empty, dead network with very little going on.
- It's not decentralized. BlueSky can claim to be decentralized all it wants, but, at present, it's one single centralized instance with no federation to any remote servers using the protocol.

Page 1 of the bluesky paper is a riot already. Aside from mentioning the "instance question", the big goal with Bluesky is you guessed it, censorship. This is why it's on the first fucking page. This is what sets it apart from the fedi, your ability to say words and post art will be determined by that of a 400lb moderator who half the time doesn't do his job.
