@beardalaxy I checked your RPG Codex activity and I'm keeping a screenshot of this post as motivation.

I would use RPG Codex too, but the site is too focused on RPGs, including their gamedev subforum and I have no plans on creating an RPG anytime soon (unless you count Zelda-clones as RPGs which I don't). I'm also not a fan of some of their moderation policies such as having your posts being manually approved for one week and having to wait an entire year just to access their politics and off-topic subforums, but apparently, it's to keep out those types who do nothing but complain about "tha joos" and never talk about anything else, so I think it's somewhat justified. Also, I don't like this rule they have because it's vague and could be abused:

>2.2. Child Porn: We have our limits, so images AND DISCUSSIONS about child porn are right out. Try it and it will typically result in an insta-ban and nuking of your account (that is, the deletion of all the posts you've ever made).

So does that mean if I say something like "that developer was arrested for sharing child porn", I get banned with all my posts deleted? I understand that allowing MAP-related discussions is a slippery slope (just look what happened to our instance a few years ago), but I wish they would clarify on that.

@hachi Once we put a stop to the global transgender epidemic, we should have annual memorials along with two minutes of silence to honor those autistic people who were groomed and murdered by the trans mob just like what Israel does during Yom HaShoah.

@beardalaxy @j @muppeth They disclosed user data leading to an arrest in Spain. If you look into their transparency report, they comply with a bunch of requests even if they aren't obligated to do so.

@beardalaxy You should share your game on as many forums as possible. OpenGameArt has a subforum to show off your game (you have to use assets from their site but you can cheat the system by sharing some of the assets that you created). RPGCodex also has a subforum dedicated to RPG projects. There is also TIGForums but they don't seem as popular as they use to.

opengameart.org/forums/show-yo

rpgcodex.net/forums/forums/cod

forums.tigsource.com/index.php

Imageboards are also a great place to show off your games, but you need to admit that your are shilling your product because some people don't take kindly to it.

Hmm... I wonder...
I might be able to take advantage of the YT algo to get my game out there.
Thumbnail could be that painting of the main antagonist. It's mysterious, cloaked, dark, and he has a wicked almost cheshire-like grin.
Then the title could be something along the lines of "I spent 9 years making this game..." or "This game took nearly a decade to make..."
I'd set up a script to talk about the game and its development in a sort of dramatic but historical way, make the video at least 10 minutes. Basically like a little documentary about how the game came to be.
I see a lot of videos like this from random channels being recommended to me all the time. Their other videos will have a much lower view count comparatively.
Think it could be a viable strategy.

@ArdainianRight What does Boy Scouts offer that Girl Scouts doesn't?

@Pawlicker @Kerosene @BronzeAgeHogCranker These people think they can overthrow capitalism by creating community gardens even though it just leads to fat-asses taking all the food and drug addicts pissing on the plants.

@Pawlicker @Kerosene @BronzeAgeHogCranker Take note that she includes local community gardens which means communism.

With the recent news of ProtonMail, I would like to remind you that ProtonMail has been a honeypot for a while. Just look at their transparency report on their website. They also don't allow you to generate private GPG/PGP keys client-side (the only person who should have access to your private GPG key is you).

Anyway here are some alternatives I recommend (not sponsored by any of them):

* Fedora Mail (fedora.email/) (Registrations are currently disabled) - An email service run by @j who also runs bae.st. It's funded by donations, supports mail clients, and even the ability to encrypt clear-text emails in your inbox using your public GPG key.
* Disroot (disroot.org/en) - Run by @muppeth, along with other volunteers. Provides a bunch of services including email. Supports custom domains if you donate. Free to use for non-commercial purposes.
* Posteo (posteo.de/en) - Paid service (1 EUR/month). Hosted in Germany. Accepts payments in cash via mail. Offers the ability to encrypt your inbox, contacts, and spam folder using your password.
* Self-hosted - Do your own research. Only recommended for those with the technical knowledge.

Granted, you should never trust any provider because you never know what they are doing unless you have physical access to their servers, but these services seem to be a lot more trustworthy than ProtonMail, Tutanota, and other honeypots.

Climate alarmism is absolutely insane. The idea that human CO2 production can affect the cycles of heating and cooling that have been present on this planet for billions of years is the real hubris. Most people don't even realize the total percentage of CO2 in earth's atmosphere is 0.03%. The climate alarmist will claim it's gone up from 0.01% in pre-industrial times, a _fact_ that's completely unmeasurable unless you believe in the magic of "ice core samples" 🙄

@djsumdog @ArdainianRight @hachi Oh. So it's like that Two-Spirit thing in Native American cultures.

@ArdainianRight @hachi @djsumdog "Westernized India" gives me an uncanny feeling. Westernization in modern times means "just give them Apple products, Starbucks, and LGBT terminology and keep everything else about their culture".

@wzqtparor @ArdainianRight @djsumdog Yet they still use chopsticks instead of the superior silverwear. (Chopsticks are only a thing because Confucius hated knives)

@djsumdog @ArdainianRight @hachi Hachi likes to ask minority users to "call out" people for posting things that he finds "offensive". He likes to ask me and ArdainianRight to call out posts that he thinks is offensive to autistic people. It's some lame bait tactic he likes to pull on people.
