@djsumdog @PurpCat @WashedOutGundamPilot @YTFoidLover1488 @Hoss He paywalls his comment section (as in requiring a payed membership to comment), which I think is the only real incentive to actually give him money, but given his political views, it wouldn't surprise me if he anonymously trades on the darkweb, on the side.

@binkle @noyoushutthefuckupdad I highly recommend reading these essays from this author going by the alias "Son of Waru". He thoroughly analyzes Ted and his followers, and provides the best refutation of Ted that I have come across. He openly points out the logical inconsistencies of Ted, such as the fact that even per-industrial and even pre-agricultural societies had "surrogate activities", and that as long as humans interact with each other, there will always be some form of civilization.

Sign the petition to free Ian! Ian has dedicated his life to making the world a better place through peace and freedom advocacy. Ian was charged with ~27 different crimes for the dastardly “crime” of effectively opposing government. While Ian “won” on about 22 of these 27 charges the federal government leveled, he’s now appealing what remain from behind bars. This is actually a good thing in that it’s what he wanted. Appeals are what can on occasion lead to positive precedent and what may protect others in the future.
Ian has been a champion of financial freedom and cryptocurrency since long before Bitcoin was making people rich. He has advocated for it in for the purest and principled of reasons. For that advocacy he's being persecuted by the federal government. The prosecutors have lied and played dirty at every turn.
Ian jumped through hoops to protect people. He got laws changed. He performed KYC despite not being required to. The feds have sadly used this KYC to twist the story into one of fraud despite not actually leveling any fraud charges against Ian. Prosecutors even admitted in open court Ian did not have any knowledge of the scams committed against a small number of his clients.
The testimonies of the “victims” was previously questioned, but it turns out the prosecutors pressed people to testify who were manipulable including child molesters, actual money launders, and worse.
The reason the feds were even able to identify a small number of “victims” is the result of Ian having the foresight to preserve IDs (including of scammers). Despite this the “victims” testified that the feds were not interested in going after the scammers. In fact they’ve never caught a scammer ever.

@Spingebill @butterdog It might make good use as a minor or double major. A lot of CompSci degrees in many universities are too narrow, and it's difficult to get a job after college with a CS degree alone, unless you have connections or a portfolio of projects under your belt. It's a good idea to have specialized knowledge in a certain field (gamedev, webdev, automation, AI, etc), unless you want to be an IT worker with a CS degree.
@bonkmaykr I use SFML because I thought that if I'm going to use C++, I might as well use a library written in C++, otherwise I would have to deal with some weird shit like constantly having to convert string objects to C strings when drawing on-screen text.
SFML has some weird quirks that I don't like. For example, most video game/multimedia/graphics libraries allow you to display images on screen by simply loading the image and setting the coordinates, and it's done all in a single function/method. SFML has three classes that are used for displaying images. You need to load the image into an image object, which represents the file itself. Then, you need to load it to a texture object which allows it to be manipulated. And finally, you load it into a sprite object which has a pointer to the texture along with a set of coordinates.
There is also the lack of dynamic z-buffering unless you directly use OpenGL, which I've already talked about previously. Laurent Gomila strictly wants it for 2D games, despite the fact that even most 2D games have some depth effect to them.
In hindsight, maybe I should've chosen Allegro over SFML, but I'm tired of tool hopping. I've used Pygame and MonoGame previously and SFML has the weirdest quirks. It's decent, but it's never going to be nearly as common as SDL.

@bonkmaykr Just out of curiosity, is there any reason why you chose Allegro over SDL or even SFML? I've been aware of it's existence for years, but I've never heard of anyone using it until I noticed you using it.

Did you know that you could order papercraft versions of the models you make in Mario Artist Polygon Studio?
By swapping to the Communication Kit disk, you could upload the model to RandNet and get the model as a printed sheet to assemble yourself!
