The Pro AI Art Crowd are just as Annoyin' And Cringe as The Anti-AI Art Crowd. Sometimes even more so. And this is comin' from someone that's neither Pro AI Art Or Anti-AI Art.

i hope these guys never use any of the software again, so I won't ever have to see them. they can run their own untainted bugridden forks on their 2001 IBM Thinkpad flashed with some obscure firmware and a 5 year old BSD kernel

Finally, someone else shares my opinion on the BS Zelda games in that they are not that good as people hype them up to be and the MSU-1 dub patches (along with the original audio broadcasts) actually make it worse because all of the voice acting is literally just a tutorial on how to play the game.

in today's news: someone released a paper showing that artificial pain can be used to steer LLMs and a dude makes an AI torture chamber based on that research. github takes it down after losers with nothing better to do think there's actual harm being done and mass report the repo.

I wonder how Microsoft feels, watching thousands of people playing ports of Halo 1 that were built almost overnight, running on everything from a web browser to a potato, with 128 player co-op matches, just after they had to shutter the studio that made Halo after they released a DEI-core remake that didn't even have multiplayer.

"Singapore's government is trying its hand at matchmaking again. The country's Government Technology Agency (GovTech) has launched FirstDate, a pilot dating service for singles aged 21 to 35."

It's no wonder we have a baby crises (not enough babies born to replace those retiring in terms of social security and the like, or for the matter sustain population levels).

If you convince young people not to reproduce and they manage to not reproduce before they hit 21 chances are your not going to be successful at convincing them to reproduce.

Your "First Date" solution needs to be focused on IDK actual youth in school. That's probably somewhere between the 5th-8th grades for US students which is probably in the 11-14 age bracket.

It's crazy to think that conservatives demonizing sex was so effective as to result in a baby crises 20-30 years later. Then again the aids crises probably didn't help any. A baby is one thing, but death.. eee that might be a stronger argument against it. The problem is the system over-sold the danger and created or contributed to a major modern crises.

Maybe something positive will come from this... like the downfall of authoritarians and socialism, but somehow I doubt it. People are fucking stupid ... and selfish.

The Word "Emergency" Doesn't Exist in the Constitution. That's no Accident.
That means the rules of the constitution apply whether someone calls it an “emergency” or not. On this episode, it’s the founders’ long-forgotten warning about the oldest weapon in the book. Let politicians have extra power or funding because THEY declare an emergency? And you’ll get never-ending emergencies.

@LukeAlmighty But if the means to create such people are widespread and/or it is cheap enough to buy such person than every naturally born human has the opportunity to become a small business owner using cloned slaves.

Open Source hot take: A software project is allowed to be *done*. Not everything needs to add features or rewrite things. You can just be happy with functionality and focus on just maintainance. "Maintenance mode" is not always bad but can just show a mature product.

No, you don’t own an idea.
Yes, someone else is allowed to improve it.

Every creator builds on language, knowledge, & discoveries they didn’t invent. You were inspired by people before you. People will be inspired by you.

Keep sharing.

Should artificially created humans (clones, designer babies, etc) be considered property because they are created in one's own image?

Finally! No more trending garbage when I want to privately watch YouTube videos.

Seriously, I never understood the mentality that privacy front-ends need to show what's trending. It honestly kind of defeats the purpose and I really just want to enjoy the content I want to watch without a care in the world.

I'd like to point out that about 5.74 billion investors (70% of the worlds population) lost about $1.14 trillion on their entertainment purchases over the last 12 months.

I bring this up because of the negative publicity California is bringing and laws they're pushing to ban public officials from creating memecoins or anyone from using public officials likeness in producing memecoins.

The question is why are people permitted to invest in (translation buy/rent/subscribe/etc) other entertainment, ya know like hollywood's movies and tv shows/streaming content/etc, but when we start talking memecoins it's an 'investment' and has to be regulated or even banned????

I say this as someone who would NEVER buy a memecoin and I don't 'invest' in memecoins. I do however use cryptocurrencies as cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin were intended (not that I am a fan of BTC, it's not privacy friendly, Monero is better). That is as a means of transferring value/ease conducting business:

"The governor's office pointed to reports that about a million investors lost an alleged $3.8 billion on their purchases of the memecoin released by President Donald Trump in 2025 as a the motivation behind the new rule."
