@coolboymew Does the 3D enhance actual gameplay? I remember Iwata saying that the stereoscopic 3D would finally solve the issues of depth perception in otherwise 3D (as in three-dimensional movement) games, but I never hear about it from anywhere else.

@coolboymew
>Handheld systems are perfect for bus rides especially
I don't use public transportation and playing games anywhere else appears to be even more frowned upon (usually because you are either expected to actually socialize or it is meant to be a quiet, no electronics area) so handhelds are basically useless for me at this point. But if I did use public transportation, I would probably play one as here in the US, using public transportation is socially frowned upon already (it's usually associated with people who can't drive due to mental disability for whatever reason, but it appears to be dying out).

@coolboymew
I avoid playing video games in public because of this mentality. I almost drifted away from gaming during the 3DS heyday because how playing anything other than mobileshit, sports games, Call of Duty, etc was increasingly being associated with autism despite being on the spectrum myself.

I was in high school around the time and I noticed that it was the weird kids who play their 3DS systems in the hallways and most of their writing assignments were about video games as if they couldn't talk about anything else. They would also forgo driving to school during junior and senior year just to play their 3DS on the bus. It was enough to make even me cringe.

And then Pokemon Go and the announcement of the Nintendo Switch suddenly made gaming socially acceptable again. I guess most people are willing to play Mario Kart and Smash at parties. Also helps that the Switch is marketed as a home console first.

>The 3D function was good shit because then you could activate it and play Senran Kagura on the bus
I couldn't even see the stereoscopic 3D and I have two perfectly working eyes. Granted, I never actually owned a 3DS and only played demo units so it might differ for certain games, but it felt like a useless gimmick for people who are able to see it.

@Rude @coolboymew But I think now is the time to be creative. To think outside the box and imagine solutions that these ancient tyrants never dreamed of.

@coolboymew I think people start hating on the fanbases if said fanbase is filled with those who are autistically obsessed with the work/franchise. Fan-fiction, rule-34, etc can ruin it for people.

I think the best thing to do is just ignore the fanbase and enjoy a work/franchise on its own merit.

Trusting the Cloud?

I am curious if there are any conversations in businesses on trusting the cloud after Parlor got pulled for political motivations effectively shutting down an entire company? Regardless of your political viewpoint, this should be worrying for any company that relies solely on cloud services.

When using cloud services your basically putting your companies future in someone else hands. I have never been an advocate for the cloud that's why even LR does not run in the cloud
