@INSTALLGENTOO @noyoushutthefuckupdad COD4 made military FPS games popular along with online deathmatches on consoles and it's singleplayer probably lead to more cinematic video games. So, these types of games dominated the 7th gen. It basically caused genres like platformers, fighting games, puzzle games, action-adventure games, etc to become dormant until the rise of the indie scene. It also caused the death of the AA scene as only AAA were capable of making these cinematic video games.
>2007 had Clannad, Haruhi, and creation of miku.
Only hardcore weebs would give a shit about those. Not every non-dude-bro gamer is a weeb.
@INSTALLGENTOO @noyoushutthefuckupdad I don't watch anime, so I don't know about that. Many also regard 2007 to be the decline of video games in part due to COD4, online gaming going mainstream (especially on consoles), and the run off success of the Wii.
@ArdanianRight Either way, there is already a bigger exodus than there ever was. The death of Twitter is actually one good thing that is possible this decade.
@ArdanianRight At least, it seems like most users aren't happy about this, judging by the comments.
@coolboymew I'm hoping for some early character models. That picture on the TCRF page is early concept art. Navi was originally supposed to look like the fairies from ALTTP, Sheik looked more middle eastern, and Gannondorf appears to be more Caucasian.
Also, there is unused text in the final game that suggests backward time travel. Maybe there's more text relating to this in this 1997 build.
@thestrongest I don't think I'm able to do a GameJam, but I feel like my game programming skills would be much better if I tried one.
There's more info on the recently leaked 1997 build of OOT. It apparently contains all the text of the game up to that point and there a some interesting differences in the story compared to the final game like Navi being rescued in the first dungeon and the game starting on a fairy ceremony.

@servant_of_the_anime_avatars @thestrongest Well, I think we will have much cleaner energy if the government didn't suppress nuclear energy. We have much better nuclear reactors than we had in the 50s. They are much safer now.
Also, many parts of the US ban plug and play solar panels which are much affordable than regular ones.

Countries with the freest markets are the most environmentally friendly. All these carbon taxes are just going to go to the US military who is the biggest polluter in the world.
