California city declares itself a 'constitutional republic' in protest against 'barrage' of 'increasingly intrusive' government Covid mandates

Which is the bigger scam?

I will never forgive America for creating the coronavirus.

OHNONONONONONONNO RUST IS SUPPOSED TO BE SAFE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

apparently substance uses these now because it makes the film industry happy.

what the fuck is an SVT

its carmack's old megatexture for RAGE. was reverse engineered here https://silverspaceship.com/src/svt/

basically it involves rendering a scene with color codes for where textures go and then the computer reads back the screen and matches the color codes to what textures need to be there. so you can have one huge unique texture across an entire building or landscape with all sorts of graffiti and shit painted on walls and the computer just pages in what you are looking at. it's got some interesting uses too like you can read the amount of the screen a texture takes up to decide whether to load the 4-8k texture for that boot or to degrade back to 512 texels and spend the memory on the dragon you're stabbing.

but uh, texture popping.

We had eyes and identification on every single individual involved in the 2020 riots. If that's not indication that no one is coming to save you I don't know what is.

@jeffcliff @thatbrickster Yeah, that was an exaggeration for comedic effect.

And yet... the green "movement" has a serious image problem.
It is rarely a grass-roots affair, and its leaders are blatant hypocrites, with very few exceptions (if any).

That's why people make fun of it.

@ItsAllToast @x @rubrica If it's impossible for a discussion about programming languages to avoid veering into politics, then Trotsky has won and you are basically a communist. Seriously, the "all roads lead back to politics" mindset, it's a symptom of Stage-IV meme cancer, you have to undergo extensive meme chemo.

(But also fuck banks.)

@noyoushutthefuckupdad what a difference in perspective 5 or so years make

there's an abyss between "should" and "is", and a conspiracy is the only rational explanation, especially when they are explaining their plans in the open for everyone to see
