i wonder how many collectivists misunderstand the point of individualism. or maybe it's just me that does.

i see people crow about how individualists are selfish.

it's not so much that as individualism is about society protecting the individual person and their interests and by that means if everyone is protected then everyone will have a good life. the essense of this is the whole 10 guilty men go free than one innocent go to prison.

collectivism is more of a bee hive culture. it doesn't matter if you kill people with cardiac failure or pulminary damage as long as your excel spreadsheet looks good at the end of the day.

CDC says “COVID” is the 6th leading “cause of death” of 5-11 yr olds.

Yet all those who died also had *underlying issues*:
Chronic lung disease
Obesity (BMI>94%ile)
Neurological disorders
Blood disorders
Immunosuppressed conditions
Chronic metabolic disease (diabetes)
Feeding tube dependence
Other conditions (gastrointestinal disease, liver disease, autoimmune inflammatory conditions, and abnormality of airway)
