@lanodan @Salastil You can easily make a cheap Linux PDA using an SBC and a touch screen case. You don't even need to know soldering. As for phone calls you can use any Linux VoIP client.
I made something like this for my brother. It requires a battery charger plugged into though because you can store a battery in it.

I don't fucking care about the normies and pleasing them, I am sick of their taste and of the designer mob bowing down to this utter level of crap.
I want a software which does the job it's supposed to be doing, apparently these days you can market a fisher-price toy for the real deal, making it almost impossible to actually get worker/professional tools.
Sure a twingo looks great, but sometimes you need something that's more like a volvo.
It's also why I entirely dropped off from Android, I don't want a surveillance gameboy, I want what's basically a mix of a PDA and a feature phone, which is not a thing you can get today without getting into very enthusiast software.
