@RehnSturm256 @ArdainianRight It's because those characters aren't human. They're aliens that look like humans.
@Dude It took me a few minutes to get the reference.
gamedev
I've added a debug menu (really just a level select) to make testing levels easier. I should've done this earlier, but here it is.
@beardalaxy Yeah all the other futuristic racers pale in comparison to F-Zero. I'm surprise nobody has made a proper spiritual successor. FAST seems like the closest but I heard that the game isn't as fast and that most of the courses have guard rails.
@mr64bit Can you blame them? Nintendo can't find anything to do with F-Zero anymore.
I just discovered that some indie is making a spiritual successor to F-Zero and it's pretty cool.
@wrongthink @PhenomX6 @alex @gnusocialjp @mint @ryo I was tempted to use it multiple times. It was much more simpler and laid back than Facebook being focused on microblogging and nothing more and allowing pseudonyms unlike Facebook. I'm glad I didn't though.
@pasture LMAO! Apple recently fucked up gaming even more.
@mint @PhenomX6 @alex @gnusocialjp @ryo I'd also say that the culture is a lot more laid-back and open minded compared to mainstream social media and even other niche forms of communication like imageboards. It really feels like 90s and 2000s internet.
@PhenomX6 @alex @gnusocialjp @ryo Well, there are certain situations where building a "brand" makes sense like if you are an indie/hobbyist game developer, streamer, commissions artist, etc but still don't want to deal with the bullshit of mainstream social media. The people here who reuse their names or even use their real names only do it because of that. It's basically the same exception when it comes to using tripcodes on anonymous imageboards.
