A market does not need a state. Nor does it need approval or popularity; it just needs supply, and demand. Sure, you might not be able to get a car on a “grey” market (you can) or a house (you can) but that doesn’t mean the market is meaningless. To those that make their living providing the supply, and to those whose lives are enriched by fulfilling their own demand, that market, in its simplicity, in its temporality, was still a market.

@lanodan I think it's still useful for things like renting virtual private servers or funding open source projects. It's just that we got these idiots who treat it like an investment and not for it's intended use.
