James Madison, often referred to as the “Father of the Constitution,” predicted that the Bill of Rights would become mere “parchment barrier,” words on paper ignored by successive generations of Americans. How right he was.

@vic It's not about sitting in silence. It's about people being so sensitive to certain subjects that I'm forced to put on something else instead. Meanwhile, I'm forced to listen to literal Antifa-adjacent podcasts when riding with someone else.

@mia @icedquinn When I was much younger, I would put on certain music just to annoy people but I haven't done that in years.

What I really hate about riding in other people's cars is being forced to listen to whatever shitty radio show or podcast they turn on. Sometimes I feel like it's just an excuse to get their peers to listen to their favorite podcast, radio show, or whatever.

For example, was forced to ride in a car with a family member who claims to be mostly independent, but listens to this far-left, anarcho-communist podcast called "Behind the Bastards" and while being forced to listen to it, all that went into my mind is "the is no way this guy isn't a fed". The host openly talks about shoplifting, killing landlords, fighting fascists, and all of that under what appears to be his real name.

That was of course, an extreme example, but I can't stand listening to modern pop music garbage or neocon talk shows on the radio either. The latter is especially annoying because it's for people who think that they know the truth about everything but don't realize that they are in a limited hangout.

I know it's universally agreed upon that the driver is the one who controls the radio, but for whatever reason, that doesn't apply when I'm driving because apparently my views (and therefore the subjects I'm interested in) are too niche that they make other people feel uncomfortable, especially when women are around. I've been told by multiple people that I need to relinquish control of my radio to the front passenger because of that and I can't argue because I technically don't own the vehicle that I drive.

I don't understand why they keep letting the real one out. You think he'd be fully replaced by one of his doubles by now.

And before you ask, no I don't live in Chicago. I was viewing the page from a Chicago IP address.

Imagine thinking that 25 signatures is enough for a big game publisher to revive an obscure franchise that hasn't been relevant since the Neo Geo Pocket Color.

GBA mod is done. Hoping to have the Gamecube caps in tomorrow to get the disc drive board re-capped and see if that restores the drive to working order.

The mod is nice and I'm kinda tempted to sell it. To be honest it was actually a breeze compared to the AGS-101 mod. Soldering was optional but i wanted to solder the 3 wires to get access to all the menu options using a button combo.

Only thing I don't like about this GBA is the speaker is relatively quiet but I suspect that could be due to a aging capacitor that may need replacement. honestly... I really don't feel assed to re-cap this gameboy at the moment. I did have to re-cap some gameboy colors a few years back due to the sound no longer working on them and it's common for the C38 cap that powers the speaker to go bad on those.

@beardalaxy Responding to your forum post here as I don't feel like going through the hoops in signing up for RPGCodex.

I don't feel like regulation of AI generated content will happen because procedurally generated content (including music which can be used in games) has been around long before generative AI and I've never heard of any regulations on that.
