Nah- he was second. Woody Wilson gave us the FR and IRS in 1913. They needed more apparatus first.

@beardalaxy @SpurgAnon Depends on the optical lens. The one I have right now works fine on my bed sheets.

@waltercool Google, Microsoft, and Apple didn't become monopolies because of the free-market they become monopolies because of the government. Facebook started off as a DARPA project. Google is a similar story. And Microsoft and Apple hold power due to "intellectual property" laws.

It's so annoying when I look up people I like in the Fediverse and their accounts have been suspended for being opinionated and outspoken. 😞

Then I don't even know how to reach out to them.

Make a note of syzito.xyz if you have problems. We'll look after you.

@gabriel Everyone is looking for the silver-bullet solution that will fix everything when it doesn't exist. Every time you bring in a possible solution, people will dismiss it saying "that's just a band-aid solution" or "not everyone can do it" when that is not the point. You need multiple solutions going on at once and the process is gradual.

I wholeheartedly agree. Some institutions are too crucial or too embedded to abandon all together.
You'd need some flavor of "retake & reform" for many institutions that have become so corrupt to be more-or-less useless.
People don't like to talk about that because it's hard and requires sacrifice and a longer view.

What I appreciate from this crew is that they do have two very solid mesages: we need to experiment when it comes to solutions, and in some circumstances maybe the old(er) ways are just best.

With that said, I'm very grateful he hosted a conversation with many great guests who I respect a lot, despite having disagreements with him and them on various things.

@gabriel As much as I appreciate Derrick Broze's investigative journalism. I honestly don't think his "Exit and Build" strategy is a viable, long-term solution to Agenda 21/30, at least not on it's own.

@beardalaxy @SpurgAnon I find them an annoyance for laptop users, especially if you are using your laptop in bed where you are more likely to drop your mouse. I also have twitchy fingers so I'm more likely to accidentally hit buttons because my muscles just decide to involuntary contract.

crowdsourced storytelling might be a horrible idea, but a crowdsourced translation is worse
it takes only one "my writing is brilliant" noisy retard to ruin everything

@DarkMahesvara
Imagine still being on a Chromium browser. :gyate_marisa_gross:

@beardalaxy @SpurgAnon I'm using a wireless logitech mouse right now because I currently have nothing else. The only good thing about this mouse is that there are no side buttons. I hate side buttons because I can easily drop my mouse and accidentally click one of them.

I honestly don't like either Logitech or Razer. Razer has put always-online DRM on some of their mice in the past, so they might consider doing this subscription service practice as well.

It's about time that people not only switch to open-source software, but open-source hardware as well. People underestimate the dangers of hardware backdoors and how they are even worse than software backdoors. However, the only Linux hardware manufacturer I know of that sells mice is ThinkPenguin.
