@sapphire @prettygood @PurpCat @djsumdog @mischievoustomato Drew "White P. Diddy" DeVault loves Alpine. Any chance of Alpine being a chad distro was destroyed from the outset. Meanwhile Debian is a backbone of enterprise Linux deployment. :gigachad:

@beardalaxy @helldiverliberator I think that has more to do with the target demographic being kids and teenagers back then, and they really didn't care about economics. It was mostly parents who called out on their businesses practices, but it was mostly "why does my kid need a Super Nintendo he already has an NES."
@beardalaxy @helldiverliberator I mean, even back then, they would go after cheat devices and even rental stores. Looking back on it, Sega was a lot less greedy and power hungry (they even embraced cheat devices and rental stores to spite Nintendo), but I don't think being pro-consumer was valued much back then.
@beardalaxy @helldiverliberator Take time to celebrate about what they were instead of what they are now.
So it looks like the UN Pact of the Future was signed and barely anyone noticed. The only good news is that at least one country (Argentina) refused to sign. I feel like the US is going to be on board with the PoFT no matter what. My only hope is that state and local governments nullify any or all UN mandates just like what Louisiana did back in April.

@icedquinn Which is why they just signed the Pact of the Future which is even worse.
@beardalaxy When you have a bunch of if-statements like this, it's probably better to have an array or dictionary of function pointers because the CPU can just go to the address of the first value of the array + the offset and then call the function based on the address of the function in the table. On the other hand, if-statements require the CPU to repeatedly calculate conditions which is much less efficient.
