@coolboymew I'd say that FF7 has it's own problem of transforming the pre-rendered backgrounds into fully 3D environments while still keeping the original vision.

@coolboymew I don't know how you are going to re-imagine the game without pissing people off. The 3DS version had the benefit of being based off of the original game's source code. This, on the other hand, looks like those fan-made re-imaginings done in Unreal.

You should target your anger at the actual issue so not to just sound dumb yourself. The dude isn't dumb. He's very careful. This is narrative rage bait.

He's not a "neo-Nazi" (whatever the fuck that means now) or a "racist" .. and how is he a mass murder? You talking about war support?

His grandfather was one of the original technocrats, he has inherited emerald wealth, his prospectus for SpaceX was garbage and people will lose millions once that stock starts to fall. He's bought into the AI psychopathy. He's connected to Peter Thiel, the paypal mafia. Over a dozen monkeys died horrifically in the neurolink experiments and he went on with human trials anyway. There has likely been human experimentation and torture in some of the contracted doctors too (this gets into the weeds with sources that have been removed from the Internet). He's very connected to Epstein though he denies it. He's connected to the World Economic Forum.

See there are several, actual legit reasons to not like this man's actions. You should focus on the real issues and not the made up one if you want people to take your seriously and not think you're retarded.

@coolboymew He's hoping that Nintendo is bringing some beta content back in it. Really the only things I see coming are the bigger maps, the persistent world (assuming the Switch 2 has enough internal storage to handle it), and the remixed dungeons from Master Quest.

Honestly wish more projects were written in Nim than Rust. Statically typed, different memory management strategies based on your needs or if you're integrating with another language (e.g., Go), the compiler doesn't take forever

I feel it's understated how hobbyist gamedevs *must* be targeting WASM. The current off the shelf game engines like Godot, Unity and Unreal all focus on more modern graphics APIs. They offer GLES option, but they call it "legacy". WebGL2 is not legacy. It is a current and supported standard in all browsers. WebGPU does not formally replace WebGL2 and WebGPU is still poorly supported.

The primary graphics API target for a hobbyist gamedev should be WebGL2/OpenGL ES3. What's the point of Vulkan when no one is going to bother to download your sketchy binary?

There's a gap in the market for a WASM-first game engine.

Do we really have free speech? It sure doesn't seem like it when courts allow this sort of thing:

"The music publishers’ inducement theory partly relies on a handful of public statements by Elon Musk, which they argue demonstrate that X encouraged its users to infringe."

What was that ''inducement"?

Apparently at some point Elon Tweeted:

“[Truncated] DMCA Is a Plague On Humanity”

Yes- his disgust for a law is being called an act of encouragement rather than a set of words actually encouraging infringement.

BUT even if he encouraged it that should (whether or not it is or will be, and it probably won't be) be protected.

It's the right if not duty of every person to advocate against unjust laws and to disobey. You don't get to write off wrongs just because there is a law.

@SuperDicq @graf I knew a lot of people who left fedi because they thought that Poast killed the comfy and open-mindness aspect of it. Though I personally thought that an instance like Poast was inevitable given that the original 8chan died (and the drama going on with 8kun and the bunkers) and Gab pandering to boomers instead of standing on the principles of free speech. It was only a matter of time before they find the fedi.

@graf@poa.st I think most people honestly wanted to start shit because the Poast userbase were especially annoying chuds to deal with early on back when you were advertising on places like imageboards and shit. Those people have either left or mellowed out by now.

Thanks for @graf for, since the first day they came onto the Fediverse, reaching out and offering friendship and material support to me and SPC/SPW
